How do I configure OL2003 without having access to Exchange Server

Hi,

I need to read pst file, that was saved earlier, from my home PC. I do not
have access to Exchange Server from home.

I have installed Office 2003 with SP2.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you need to read an existing .pst file, you don't really need to
configure anything in Outlook.

File-->Open-->Outlook Data File and navigate to the .pst.

Ah, sorry I did not explain the whole thing:

I cannot do what you are suggesting as I am using Outlook for the first time
on home PC. When I execute OL2003, Configuring outllook message comes up.
Following are the list of things that appears:

Migrating Account Setting
Migrating Preferences
Creating Welcome Message
Importing User Data

Soon after this the dialog box "Connecting to Microsoft Exchager Server"
appears with three choices: Retry, Work Ofline, Cancel.

When I choose Work Offline I get the following message:
---------------------------
Microsoft Office Outlook
---------------------------
Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window.
The set of folders could not be opened.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Brian,

I was able to read the pst file by creating a profile without creating an
email account. In Email Account Server Types I selected "Additional Server
Types". I then provided the Outlook Data File location.

Thanks for your help.
