How do I convent all members of a Category into a Distribution List?

How do I convent all individual contacts I've assigned to
the same Category into a Distribution List?

There's a very cumbersome way to do this, but my question is why do you need
to? If you've already gone to the trouble of creating Categories, use them
instead of a DL.
Use the By Category View. Select a Category Header > Actions > New Message
to Contact.
