How do I convert a Trial version to full (Home/Student Office)?

I have a trial version of Home and Student Office on my new computer using
Windows Vista and I entered in the trial product key for it. But now I've
purchased the full version at Staples and I want to convert that trial
version to the full version, using the new product key. How do I go about
doing this? I've already created documents using the Trial version, so if I
uninstall the Trial version, I don't want to lose everything I've already
done and the templates I've already downloaded. Please help. Thanks.

By uninstalling the trial, having backed up your docs, rebooting the PC
after the uninstall & finally installing from your cd
(Uninstalling has no affect on docs, but a backup is allways reccomended)
