How do I convert LARGE Office XP word files to Office 2003?

I'm having trouble converting LARGE (30,000 + lines) Office XP word documents
to Office 2003 word documents. Are there any registry edits/configuration
changes I can make to succesfully perform this conversion

It seems to occur most frequently with documents generated in Office 2000 for
files larger than 32 MB with lots of graphics. The files open properly in
Office 2000 or Office XP but error in Office 2003. Sometimes the document
can be Opened and Repaired and the repair wizard finds several Data Integrity
issues.

In one instance, I had a user take his large file and break it up into
several smaller files, the error carried to one of the files. Under normal
circumstances, I would consider the file corrupt, but it still opens
correctly in the older versions of Office. I will continue to work some
things on this end and see if I can narrow down the problem further. I have
asked the user to provide information regarding the imbedded graphics files
and what method was used to imbed them in the document.

Hi Bill,

If you save the file in Word 2000 or 2002 as a web document
can you open it in Word 2003 without the error?

If you start Word 2003 holding down the ctrl key
can you then open the document in Word 2003?

What is the build revision in Help=>About in Word?

Can you zip and email me any of the problem documents?
