How do I convert my .DBF data Base to a Access Database?

I am new to Access, and have been using Lotus Approach for over 10 years
Can anyone point me to a Book or traing course on how to Update a Access
database with Updated field or new records? I just need a little direction.
Thanks Paul50

The simplest way is to get a copy of Access 97..it will import DBF data very
easily (import \ table) and it will import the field names too...once that is
done any later version of Access can upgrade your Access 97. Why Access 97?
Because newer versions of Access don't have DBF capability..

Access 2000 does have DBF capability. We created an application in 2000 that
creates dbf tables that were transmitted to a FoxPro application.

Hi Paul,

Do you know which program/version created your DBFs? If they are FoxPro DBFs
then the import method may vary depending on the version of FoxPro they were
created with.
