You can copy and Paste Special as Picture, but it won't look quite like real
text. A better approach is to use WordArt (which also never looks quite like
ordinary text, but it's a lot easier to work with).

I had looked in Wordart but that seems to give me only
set designes which look very mickey mouse to me.
I'll try this copy paste thing, but there must be a way
to capture an elaborate design made from letters into a
graphic and then enhance it further.
Wordart is kids stuff.

If you only want to rotate your text in 90deg increments, you can put into a
text box. Once there, you get options for changing the text direction.
Compared to picture conversions, this has the advantage of much higher
resolution and the text remains editable.
