How do I convey that I've completed a task I entered in calendar .

How do I to convey to Outlook Calendar that I've completed a phone call that
I entered, say for 0900, Tuesday, 9 Nov ? I keep getting messages that I'm
so many minutes overdue/late for making the phone call or whatever task even
though I've already completed the call or task.

Tasks are Tasks and Appointments are not. Make work to do a Task, make
meetings on your Calendar.

You can complete a Task by marking it complete (little box to check) or
opening it and clicking the Complete icon.

You cannot "complete" and appointment.
