You can try. Are you having particular difficulties with PageMaker? If
not, why do you want to switch?

I am learning Frontpage and I want to use the same product name. I find
Pagemaker difficult to use sometimes. My thinking is that if copy one older
newsletter into publisher it will be easier for me to use.

Learning FrontPage will do little to help you learn Publisher (and
vice-versa), especially if you already use Word.

PageMaker can be difficult to use, but I'd say it's well worth learning to
use properly. Familiarity with PageMaker will make learning InDesign
easier; familiarity with mid-to-high-end DTP tools can be a valuable asset
(and may help make you more employable).

You may be able to successfully copy and paste into Publisher, otherwise
you'll have to start from scratch. YMMV.

Hope this helps,

I am not using it to be employable. I am using it for a church newsletter.
I still do not know the steps to take to copy pagemaker into publisher. Is
there a way to do it? If not let me know and I will start from scratch.Jim

Have you tried to do a select all, copy, and paste? (Never having used
PageMaker I can only guess that PM has a Select all feature.)

Copying and pasting is a pretty universal procedure. Follow JoAnn's advice.
I can't actually tell you if it's possible, otherwise I would have given an
affirmative or negative answer instead of saying "You can try".
