How do I copy email to Publisher 2003

Text comes across all mangled. I have been able to copy to Word 2003 then to
Publisher and everything is OK. Anyway to copy direct to Pub. and eliminate
this extra step.

All mangled?

The way I do it is gather with the mouse the text to be copied, do a Ctrl C
open Publisher, then do a Ctrl V. Then adjust the text box to your liking
and exchange some carriage returns with spaces.
