How do I copy footnotes from Word to Publisher?

I have tried to copy and paste an article from Word into a Publisher
document. But the footnotes themselves and the superscript numerals do not
appear. I have heard that Publisher does not support footnotes, but find
that hard to believe. Is there a way?

Publisher doesn't have a footnotes feature, but that isn't your problem - I
believe copy/paste is.

Use the Insert>Text Document command (I think that's the wording - don't
have Publisher installed here) rather than copy/paste & your footnotes
should come along for the ride... As well as indexes & TOCs. They just won't
be automatically or manually updated any longer & you don't have the tools
in Publisher to Insert/Remove.
