How do i copy media onto a DVD rw using DVD-R's?

I am trying to copy media files from my hard drive to a Samsung DVD R/RW
SH-W08A DVD/CD ROM Drives, while using DVD/R to copy files onto. I keep
getting a message to insert a CD/R. I would like to utilize the DVD/R in
order to fit more media as opposed to using many CD/R's. Help please.

my only suggestion would be to find another newsgroup to post the question
in ... this one's dedicated to the Microsoft program "Project".
Unfortuately i can't even think of a group to suggest - maybe going to
http://groups.google.com and doing a search would help you find a more
suitable group.
