How do I copy/past to WordDocument and continue typing with Word?

I need to take the text I have on One Note and take it to a Word Document.
Everytime I copy/paste from one note to Word it pastes as an image and not
text-it will not allow me to continue typing with word. How can I take my One
Note text onto a Word DOcument? Also, does One Note have word count?

Try File Menu, Send to, Microsoft Word.
