How do I copy scanned (ocr) shapes into visio

Background:
Working with program flow documentation consisting of shapes and connectors
I am redrawing these in visio shapes, which is a bit of dull repetition.
Is it possible to have OCR reognise these shapes as visio elements ?

In my experience with scanners, they are bitmap type devices while visio is
a vector drawing tool. two different worlds. The question of whether your
OCR software could recognize the shapes and store as visio objects is
probably best given to that software vendor. It sounds like you're doing
what most do when they want to move between the document basics, recreate
from an image. Have you checked to see what the source was created in,
possibly it may be more appropriate.
