How do I correct a frame problem in FP 2000?

RE: FrontPage 2000

I am working on a web page I did not create, and several people have worked
on it since its creation. Unfortunately, the person who worked in this
position before I began here did not know what she was doing and has royally
messed this site up!

The website in question has a frame/table on the left side of the page that
we use for menus. On most pages, using the main menu is fine; but, a few
pages need their own menus.

The problem is this: when I go in to edit a page that needs its own menu, FP
saves that menu and replaces the menus on subsequent pages I work on with the
non-main menu.

I'm trying to figure out how to prevent FP from changing menus between
pages. It does not ask for authorization or an ok to make these changes; FP
does it automatically.

Is there a rule I need to change or turn off?

Any help would be appreciated!

What do you mean by frame/table? Frames and Tables are very different
animals and need very different ways of working with them.

Can you give a link to the web page?

Ron,

Sound like the OP is working with Shared Borders.

You are using shared borders, top and left..

Off Topic: Note that the fonts Elephant and "Monotype Corsiva" may
display as Times New Roman in some browsers, where the user does not
have these fonts installed. You should stick to using common fonts,
or provide an alternative
example:
<font face="Elephant, 'Times New Roman',Times,serif">

Ron,

Thanks for your help! After reading your post this morning, I went into the
website you suggested and am currently working on re-doing the pages.

Also, thanks for the feedback on fonts!
