How do i correct Runtime error: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libr

I have written a document and when i try to save it, a message pops up saying -

"MICROSOFT VISUAL C ++ RUNTIME LIBRARY

Runtime Error!

Program:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

When i click ok or close on the message window it shuts down word. The auto
recover recovers the file but the message still pops up when i click open or
save.

I have tried updatating office and restarting the computer and even
re-writing the document twice, but the problem persists.

What is Wrong
