how do i creat a report from Form

Hi

i have a Form with 2 commands ok and cancel, when i say ok it runs my
query and display the results. The query is a crosstab query. When i
tried to create a report to give a better look by using wizard the
'Available Fields' the left hand box (when selected the query), where
usually you can pick some of the output headings to be diplayed in the
report.....is showing nothing, it is just empty...

why the 'Available Fields' shown empty, when the query runs and gives
the output

how can i create a report with desired presentation

is there anything wrong in my working procedure or something else

i am very new to Access, pls give me your valuable suggestions

I think your subject line is telling us the problem. You want to create the
report from the query the button runs, not the form that has the button. I
think this is why you are seeing no fields.

so how i can go further to generate a desired report........is there
any possibility for me to accomplish this or do i need to change the
