How do I create a 20 year, timeline / History?

including appx, 1 event (milestone/activity) each lasting from 7 days to 3
months, appx. 4 times a year. Starting in 1982 through 2004. This is a record
of every Diet I've ever attempted, since I was a child. 20 year
History/Timeline.

if you're at v2003 you can use the help facility to search on "timeline
import" and then select
"Create a timeline from a data file using the command line or Run method"
