How do I create a census-style bar graph in Excel?

Q

Q

I've been all over the place and haven't been able to figure out the
answer to this one...

Let's say I have census data for a city. The data is divided by age
groups and sex, so I have two data columns:

Age Men Women
0 to 9 353 550
10 to 20 400 343

And so on.

I want to create a double bar graph, where one bar represents the
series "men" and the other women, and the category values are given by
the age column.

However, I would like to create a census-style graph, where series
"men" is plotted along -X and series "women" is plotted along +X, and
the Y axis crosses right in the middle, so you get an idea of just how
many more men than women there are. So far the most I've been able to
do is plot both series on different X axis and reverse the values on
one axis, so I get a graph where the series are plotted from the
outside in. However I would like the graph to be from the inside out.

Is this possible?
