Hello -

Do you know how to create a crossword puzzle from scratch? Assume Word would
be an appropriate program. It would be around 10 x 15, or 150 letters with
words found in all directions.

Thanks,

There is software dedicated to this purpose that would probably be easier,
but you can do it using a table. Set the row height to 0.25" and the column
width the same. If you're going to be typing in the squares, you'll probably
need to set the cell margins to 0". Apply grid borders. Black out squares by
applying black shading to the cells; this is easy if you display the Borders
and Tables toolbar.

FWIW, classic crossword puzzles are square, with the same number of rows and
columns.

There is software dedicated to creating puzzles, but for free you can go to
Puzzlemaker.com and create some really nice crossword puzzles, mazes, hidden
word puzzles, and more. It's a great site.

Hope this helps.
