How do I create a folded 8 1/2 by 11 brochure using Office templat

We used 8 1/2 by 11 folded brochures every week and have been creating them
in Word Perfect because no one could figure out how to do it in MS Office. Is
there an EASY way to do this in Office? Thank you.

What is Publisher? Is that something else we have to buy? Does that mean we
can't do it in Office? We're not trying to publish anything dramatic or
fancy. Just a folded 8 1/2 by 11 brochure.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Office is not a program. It is a collection of programs and is available in
several different editions that contain various selections of programs.
Publisher is one of those Office programs. It's specifically meant for doing
tasks like brochures, newsletters, business cards, and other desktop
publishing jobs.

As to whether this is something else you'd have to buy, I can't answer that
because I don't know what programs you have on your computer. It's not free
though if that's what you meant.

Thanks for trying to help JoAnn. We bought Office which includes Word. eXcel,
PowerPoint and an email program that we don't use. Didn't know there were
other options. In Word there are templates for brochures but as far as we can
figure out, no template for a simple 8 1/2 by 11 brochure. It would be great
if there was an easy way to create the brochure using Word, but I think there
would be a staff revolt if we asked them to learn one more program. And it's
probably not worth the cost to add Publisher just for the brochure template.
Guess we'll keep the system we have. Too bad. Hoped there was an easy answer
but thanks for trying to help.

Thank you Mary. That's very helpful. Never thought it would be so hard to
find a simple, one fold 8 1/2 by 11 brochure template. Saw a couple on the
list you suggested that might work. FYI, none of the templates that come with
Office are ordinary, one-fold booklets or brochures. At our company we strive
to keep computer work simple and at a minimum so the staff can concentrate on
doing their jobs. You'd be amazed how much the professionals appreciate that
compared to other places they've worked. They love the hassle-free
environment we try to create that allows them great creativity for their
work. Your suggestion, I think, will help us maintain that highly successful
atmosphere. Thanks again.
