How do I create a form with long drop down options?

I am trying to create a document for school reports using pull down menus for
a number of set comments. I tried to use access but didn't understand how to
create a word processed document from the tables I entered. I also tried to
use drop down menus in Word but it wouldn't let me input enough characters to
insert the comments I wanted to use. Is there a way to make drop down menus
longer or should I be using a different program and how do I go about this?

basics

what i would suggest is to use
excel as the premise of understanding
the drop downs. basically you
are wanting to build a database
of standard comments for poplulating
a form report.

in excel you can create a standard
form document like a report with
set comments.

in excel you can create the lookup
tables for you set comments that
can populate your form.

excel is the initial place that
will not only produce the results
you are seeking but launch your
understanding of these features
for use in other office programs.

if you don't have the desire to
use excel, then it is suggested the
hiring of a pro that knows these
advanced features for the creation
of a database by access and or
for use by word....
