How do I create a Index that does not sorts alphabetically?

In Office 2003 word created index by the order that they appear in the
document. The actual Office 2007 orders the mark entries alphabetically.. I
don't want this! I want the old way. How can I do it?
Thank you in advanced

An _index_ always sorts alphabetically. A list of entries that shows
the order in which they appear in the document is a _table of
contents_ and not an index.

This is true in every version of Word, no exceptions.

Hello Jay Freedman,

Thank you very much. Indeed I discover latter that what I used to do in
older versions of Office was a table of contents. This is a problem for the
persons who don't speak English as their mother language. I looked in a
dictionary and I realized the meaning of a Index versus table of contents.

Thank you very much for your patience!

Patmalico.
