Word is _not_ a graphic design program. Although can use a WordArt 'object'
(Insert>Picture>WordArt) it most likely isn't going to provide the result you
want for such a project.
If you're likely to be doing it again, I understand there is special
software that creates very nice monograms. Most of what Google turns up is
for embroidery, but I know that the person who imprints notecards and such
at our local stationery store had something that worked with Publisher.
