How do I create a private distribution list?

I wish to create a distribution list where I will be able to add all of my
customers and e-mail them when an important update is released. I figured
this out, but I wish to somehow make the addresses private so when I send an
e-mail to the list, the recipients will see "File Drawer customers" (the name
of one of my software titles and the name of the distribution list) instead
of everyone's e-mail addresses. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

Create a new recipient in your address book called "File Drawer customers" and
give it your e-mail address. In the Display-As field, tailor it to show only the
name.

Compose the message, addressing it to File Drawer customers (which is yourself)
then put all of the recipients names (or the Distribution List) in the Bcc
field. To see the Bcc field, click on View > Bcc Field.

Create two entries in your contacts folder. The first should be standard
contact entry with the name of File Drawer Customers with an email address
of you/support address. The second entry is the personal distribution list
that holds your customer names.

Now when you come to address a message to those folks, put the File Drawer
Customers in the To line. Put the distribution list in the BCC field.
