frontpage shaded background

I can only find a solid background choice...not two or three colors as I find
in powerpoint. i want it to stretch across the whole page when viewed...much
like the desktop picture choice "stretch" does.

There is a great deal of difference between a PowerPoint slide and a web
page, which is why FP doesn't give you the options that PP does. Since a web
page can be dynamic is size depending on content length, browser sizing, and
a host of other factors, using a fixed image probably won't do what you're
after. (Its also a little difficult to give you a definitive answer not know
wat your desired end result is or your skill level.)

You can, using CSS, have a fixed background image that text scrolls over, or
fix all your web pages inside te size of a table with a graduated background
image.

You might try searcing for graduated backgrounds and see which of the
options presented would work the best for you.

Good luck.

I created a grad background simply by creating it in Photoshop CS2, and then
importing it in a custom theme.
Worked fine. Don't know if this is what you want to do, but check it out:
