How do I create a table of contents with dot leaders?

How do I insert dot leaders into table of contents for document that I have
alreadly created? I'm using Word 2003. I've tried doing Format, Reference,
Table of Contents, It's giving me the message to select text even when I've
selected the entire table of contents.

Is this a table of contents that you have manually created or an
automatically generated one?

giacomo: Select just ONE level in your table of contents, and add a
dot-leader to it. It should automatically update all TOC entries OF THAT
SAME LEVEL. The TOC uses styles, and as such, you must alter the style to
add the dot leader. Do it the way I've explained for each level, or use the
commands to modify the style.
