How do I create an animated GIF file? I am using Microsoft Publisher 2003. I
also played around with Powerpoint but I do need help.

You need a program that can create animated .gif files. You can't in Publisher
or PowerPoint.
Microsoft Gif Animator is still around. It is a free download.

If you happen to have a copy of MS Picture It! or
MS Digital Image they have an option called:
Flipbook

If you would like to try it there is a downloadable
60 day trial version at the following link. The software
line has been discontinued but the trial still works
for 60 days.
