how do i create an electronic logbook

At work we keep a hand-written logbook of the work performed and issues that
have come up during the day. I would like to create an electronic logbook
using office 2000 but I'm not sure what program would work best. I want to be
able to do a search for keywords in the logbook and I want to be able to
edit, read it, and navigate through it easily.

Thanks, swiftyhmf

You would probably be best served by using MS Access as you can navigate
through it, build custom reports on, say how many times customer x has had
service y, etc.
