How do I create intermediate arrow head within connectors?

I want to make the flow in my diagram a little easier to see. Some of the
connectors end up connecting on the same connection point on the same shape.
What I would like to do is something like this...

--------^-------------> (2)
|
|
--------> (1)

The above diagram represents one connector (1) intersecting another
connector (2). The lower connector has an "intermediate" arrow head located
at (1).

Is there an easy way to do this or is a matter of creating three connectors
(in this case)

You can do this with a custom line pattern. There are a few articles online
