How do I create my own custom Autoshapes?

I would like to create and edit my own Autoshapes for use in Powerpoint & Word.

For example, one of my presentations needs tapering arrows which taper at
the head or at the tail - the standard Autoshapes don't include handles to
allow me to adjust the taper of the arrow; only the relative size between the
head and the shaft.

Is there a downloadable utility which will enable me do this? I am using
Office 97.

Failing an Autoshape creator/editor, is there a downloadable library of
extra Autoshapes which includes tapering arrows with yellow handles to allow
the taper at both the head and tail to be adjusted ?

Many thanks in anticipation.

After playing around with VBA last week I found out that some of the
autoshapes have settings that you cannot edit anywhere in the PowerPoint
interface, but that you CAN edit using VBA. (For example, for line callouts,
you can change the gap size between the line and the box.)

Try starting a macro, adding your shape to a slide and then looking at the
macro code too see if anything that might possibly signify "taper" is there.
If so, edit the code to set an appropriate value for the taper and then run
the macro to paste it on the slide as you want.
