How do I create my own tetrahedron shape in Word Art?

I am trying to create a tetrahedron by connecting lines (without using shape)
which I can then fill. How do you do this?

Sadly, you cannot join items to make one more complex fillable shape (high on
my wish list) so the only way is to draw what you want with individual lines
then trace over that shape with the freeform tool in one go. If, as sometimes
happens, you don't get back to the start point, bringup edit points and
'close path' and then pull out as many new points as you need to get the
shape you want. Tedious but it works.

Take a look at www.drawingwithword.com and find your way to 'Lets
Draw'/'Ring of Stars'. Dont bother with the stars, just join up the
intersects. Hopefully it helps

I guess that was a sledgehammer to crack a nut! Why can't you simply use
Freeform to create the individual faces and then pull them into shape and
group them?
