How do I create previews for a new template?

I have created some new letter and fax layouts and saved them as Template files. When I select File > New and click on the Templates window I can see the new Templates in the Letters & Faxes tab, but there is no image available in the Preview pane. Also, if I modify one of the standard Templates, the Preview does not reflect the modifications.

How can I get the correct document appearance to display in the Preview pane?

Hi Laurence,

From the File menu, select Properties and check the Save Preview box on the
page with they Summary tab.

Note, however, that if you have a preview saved with the template, then
every document you create based on the template will by default also have a
preview, which greatly increases the file size. Unless the preview is really
valuable (has distinguishing features that are discernable even in that
small thumbnail and that can't be described in the template name), I
wouldn't bother with it.

Excellent...Just one more question: How would I set the default properties to have the preview box selected instead of having to go in and choose it each time? Is that possible
