How do I create startup boxes that once answered appear in a form

I have a form that I want staff to populate pop up questions when they open:
e.g. Todays date, job number

Dont know what this is called to be able to do a search.

I also have the e.g. date appearing in three places on the form - is this
possible instead of having to answer the question three times

The pop up questions come from Macros (also called VBA code, Subroutines,
functions, UDF). To get to the VBA window in excel type Alt F11. Mos
tquestions people have are under the Excel Programming user group.

You will need the following

1) A way to start the macro. which can be the following
a) Automatically Start when worksbook is opened
b) Add a control button the the workbook to start the macro
c) Start Macro by going to menu tools - Macro - Macro. All macros in
workbook will be listed
d) Start macro when a cell is changed in the workbook

2) the macro will use a MSGBOX (see VBA help) or INPUTBOX to instruct the
users and get inputs.


To use a common DATE (A1) in the workbook I would recommend putting the
date in one cell in the workbook and then have the 3 other cells reference
the 1st cell (=A1) were the date is located.
