How do I create the equivalent of an autonew macro in powerpoint?

I need to create a macro that runs as soon as a new powerpoint presentation
is opened. It can be done in word as a autonew macro but doesn't work in
powerpoint.

I also need to know how I can store diagrams that need to be included as
part of this macro in powerpoint much like autotext works in word.

Sophie,
PowerPoint is not capable to run AutoOpen or AutoNew macros. You will have
to put your macro in an add-in.
