HOW DO I CROSS OUT DATA IN A CELL WITHOUT DELETING IT?

Firstly, the body of the message, not the subject line, is the space for
asking the question.

Secondly, please get your caps lock key repaired. Posting in upper case is
considered as shouting, and a breach of netiquette.

Thirdly, if what you want is to use a strikethrough format, then use Format/
Cells/ Font, and select strikethrough. You can either do this on the entire
content of the cell by selecting the cell before selecting Format, or it can
be applied to part of a cell's content by selecting the relevant part of the
text in the formula bar, then selecting Format.

The above is not correct for the newest version of Excel if you're goal is to strikeout the whole box. (Directions are still correct if you want to strike out the text). To strike out the whole box click the box. Select "Format Cells", under "Borders" select one of the options for striking out a box(x, \ or /).
