How do I decompress picture files in Picture Manager? HELP!

Our vacation pictures were compressed to send in emails, but we didn't save the originals, so now we just have thumbnails of our beautiful pictures. Is there any way to fix this? We did it on both the Picture Manager program, and on our memory card for the camera. (don't ask me how) When we try to enlarge it, it gets "pixely".

Help, anyone???
