How do I decrypt the file/folder

Hi All,
I have a perculiar problem, I dont know how my folder and the files in the
folder got encrypted.
Now I cannot view any of the files in that folder.
The messages I get are as follows:
"Excel cannot access 'file.xls' The document may be read only or encrypted"
"Powerpoint was unable to open or save this document. Please ensure that you
have access privileges to read or write the document and that it is not
encrypted"
"User cannot open the document: user does not have access privileges"
I have the administrator rights to my system too, still it is not allowing
me to decrypt.....
What can be the problem.....

For your information:
My O/s is Windows 2000 professional with SP4
and has MS Office 2003 with SP2

I try unchecking the encrypt portion inthe advance but when I apply it it
says "access is denied"

PLEASE ADVISE....
