How do I define production planning using Visio flow charts

I need to produce a flow chart to 'specify' the stages of manufacture. Can
anyone show me the basic layout please?

That sounds like a Value Stream Map. Look here for an example and
instructions. Even if you don't have Visio 2007 Professional, this may give
you an idea.
