How do I delete a corrupt file?

Every time I try to create a new Word file, it opens a several hundred page
of nonsence. (I've copied the first page) I have reinstalled my software,
and it still is happening. Any advise?

You have a corrupted Normal.dot template. Go to
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm. Skip
over the first part and go down to "Creating a new Normal.dot from
scratch".
