How do I delete a template

I am using Word for Mac 2008 on Mac OS10.4.11and cannot locate the folder that stores the templates. I dislike a messy desktop so would like to delete 2 templates that were made by mistake. What folder should I look for and where?

Hi Virginia:

Unless you have moved it, it should be in
/Users/ ~ /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates/My
Templates/

In Word 2008, you can put templates anywhere you like (provided you can
remember where they are!). However, that's the location Apple suggests.
