How do I delete a year's worth of appointments?

I need to delete several year's worth of meetings in Outlook to comply with
my company's record retention policy. However, I don't want to delete them
one at a time. Does any one know how to delete a year's worth, or a month's
worth in a few steps?

Invoke a Table view, and then "Shift key select" and then delete the
selected group.

Switch to a table view, such as All appointments, then use Ctrl or Shift+
del to delete the older appointments.
Or use autoarchive and let it move or delete older appointments.
