How do I delete captions from pictures

Whenever I print screen something, or import an online clip, and then try to
edit the picture, a caption is defaulting in. I have checked Insert
Caption Auto-Caption and none of the options have a checkmark in front of
them. Why is this caption coming in and how can I get rid of it? Thanks for
any suggestions
