How do I delete extensions in order to publish FP 2003?

I just downloaded FP 2003 last week and loaded my church's website. I was
able to publish my changes, and then all of a sudden I got a message that the
server could not complete my request and to contact the internet service
provider under details it said: "404 Not Found
Not Found The requested URL /~sumchurch4/_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe
was not found on this server. Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.users.qwest.net
Port 80"
I called Qwest, which is my church's internet provider and FTP, and after a
lot of hold time they finally decided that they don't support SharePoint and
PF 2003 extensions and that somehow I must have added an extension is the
only reason I could have been able to publish and then not be able to. I
don't know what all the "_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe" is after "~sumchurch4"
is. The address I use is www.users.qwest.net/~sumchurch4.

Any help, please! Do you know how I can delete an extension if I somehow
accidentally added one? I didn't think I did anything different from one
time I published to the next time other than making some changes to a page.

Thanks!
Beth

If they don't support FPSE then why did they install them?...one must
ask...as it appears they *are* installed.

You need a host that knows what they are doing - there is no such thing
as FrontPage 2003 extensions, though Unix servers have never supported
SharePoint - error messages from FrontPage 2002 extensions do, however,
refer to SharePoint.

*You* cannot install an extension, accidentally or otherwise - that is
done by the host, or by using the host's control panel, which
effectively means the host supports FrontPage extensions on the server.
