How do I delete the drop down list in look for folder in Outlook?

I am trying to delete the words I typed in the "look for" search. I have
tried deleting the history of forms and it did not work. How do I delete this
without deleting all my history of the websites I have visited? I am using
Microsoft Office 2003 and my pc works with Vista.
Any help would be much appreciated I am pulling my hair out.

try just highlighting the name using your arrow keys and hit the delete
button. Works for me.

GLAD4310 you're on the wrong track. The OP wants to know about the search
field not the To... field function.

Hi

Thanks for your reply, I already tried that and it did not work. The only
way I seem to be able to do it is if I delete my browsing history which I do
not want to do so any other advice?

I will try this later. I am still ut new at this whole pc thing, can use one
but learning about the technical side of things. I might need some help cause
to be honest I am nervous that I botch the whole thing up

I tried this and managed to get to the point where I find the version of
outlook in the registry. I am unsure what they mean when they say "If you are
worried you made a mistake, you can double click on the *.reg file to restore
it. Next, browse for the specific keys mentioned above. Select the value on
the right side and delete it. " I am worried I mess something up and do not
know what the specific keys are they are referring to. Also where do I find
the *.reg file? I only see that in the bottom drop down box and it does not
allow me to double click on it. I am VERY new to all this technical stuff and
afraid I botch it up.....HELP!?
