how do I delete the mail merge items in the tools drop down in Wo.

There are 20-30 'mail merge' items in the Tools drop down in Word 2003. I'd
like to remove most of them but need to know how to find the documents they
reference. Any ideas? I've gone through the suspect files but haven't found
any that aren't normal word documents. Help!
