How do I disable MS Word to edit email in OL2002 on exchange?

Trevor

We have deployed Outlook 2002 in our company, and users
are using word to edit their email messages. Is there
some kind of policy we can use to prevent users from
doing this?

Thanks

I'd like to know this also.

I recently upgaded Office 2K to Office XP Pro and it does the
same thing; using MS Word as the editor within Outlook.

Hello,

The Office policy that comes with the Resource Kit can be used to disable
and customize many options in the Outlook interface. Please visit
http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork for more info on it. This would allow
you to grey out the Word Mail option. As fara a registry hack, well
nothing would keep the users from going back to change it. I believe the
key used for this option is as follows.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options\Mail

(The 11.0 in this key will vary based on your version of Office)
