How do I disable Photo Gallery's attempt to install at startup?

Hello. I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I have an issue that is
driving me crazy and I'm looking for some help.

We have Windows XP, mainly for home use. During one of the Windows Updates
an install for a produt called Photo Gallery was downloaded. We don't have
the software to complete the install, but during startup and any time we try
to use any other photo software the system tries like mad to install Photo
Gallery.

I just want to permanently disable the attempt to install. Any help you
could give me would me appreciated. Thanks.
