How do i disallow editing of textboxes w/out disabling normall text?

Hi,

(i posted this earlier, but there seems to be some problem)

I've made a user form with text input fields that -upon user entry-
will make the relevant changes to corresponding textboxes (of the
shapes object variety).

I would like to be able to lock (editing, moving, resizing, et al)
those textboxes in document, in the following way:

a. allow user to change information in the textboxes only via userform
b. allow user to write, edit, and do whatever he/she feels like in the
rest of document (ie in the normal text input area)

Is this possible?
