I want to link data in a spreadsheet to a map of the US. I am using Excel
2003. Is there any way to do this?

i'm not sure of any specific places, but using Excel's External Data
function, it shouldn't be too hard. what exactly are you looking for?

In earlier versions of Office, at least in 97 and 2000, there was a little utility
that inserted a map you could use for this. If one of these still exists on your
computer, you can probably access the map from the Insert - Object dialog (I can in
Excel XP). If you still have the installation CDs from an earlier Office version,
you may be able to get back that utility.

Barring this, you need to purchase Microsoft MapPoint or investigate third party
options.
