how do i do a passthrough query with data connection in infopath

I am trying to return data to an Infopath form using data (i.e. policy
number) that is entered by the user into the form. The query result should be
the results from a table in an external database that I am accessing using
ODBC. I can make the query work with the pasthrough parameter in the source
(Access) database query, or in the SQL statement in Infopath but can't see
how to garb that parameter from the Infopath document and pass it through.

Hi,

When you created your InfoPath solution, did you create it directly from
the Access database (i.e. New From Data Connection)?

If you did, you should have various "queryFields" that you would use on
your form where you would enter the criteria and then click the Run Query
button.

Let me know if I am missing something obvious in your question.
